The Olympia Downtown Association produces a downtown extravaganza each year on the Sunday after Thanksgiving in downtown Olympia to kick off the holiday season. This event is brought to you through the generous donations of downtown businesses, sponsors, membership dues and volunteers.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 1, noon to 5 pm
Downtown for the Holidays is a day filled with fun and entertainment. Most activities are
centered in and about Sylvester Park. Brought to you by the Olympia Downtown Association through donations from downtown businesses, sponsors and individuals. Sponsored by the Parking Business Improvement Area (PBIA). Bring your family & enjoy the day!


Noon to 2:30pm FREE horse-drawn wagon rides – Sylvester Park

Noon to 2:30 pm FREE Electric Trolley rides for the family – Washington St & Legion Way

Noon to 2:30 pm and 3:30 to 5 pm Photos with Santa – Lobby of Urban Onion

1 pm to 2:45 pm First Christian Church Chime Choir – Lobby of Urban Onion, second floor

3 pm Holiday Parade – On Capitol Way from Olympia Farmers Market to Sylvester Park

4 pm Olympia Highlanders Pipes & Drums – Corner of Legion Way & Washington St

4:15 pm Timberline High School Chamber Choir – Corner of Legion Way & Washington St

4:30 pm Tree Lighting Ceremony – Sylvester Park
