TRANSIT SERVES LAKEFAIR ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK

Downtown Transit Service on Detour

Ride to Lakefair
Hop transit to Lakefair activity all this week and get to the heart of the action without traffic and parking headaches. Intercity Transit provides frequent service to Capital Lakefair, July 14-18. Service operates every 15 to 60 minutes from Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater and Yelm and drops you off at – or close to – festival activity. Whether you’re traveling downtown on a lunch break or after work this week, or taking the family to the parade or other activities this weekend, Intercity Transit can help get you there.

Transit Detours During Lakefair
Transit service in downtown Olympia will be impacted Friday and Saturday, July 16 and 17, due to Lakefair-related road closures.
•    On Friday, July 16, service to west Olympia detours off Deschutes Parkway noon to 10:30 pm.  Intercity Transit Routes 43 and 44 will use I-5 instead of local streets for service to and from Courthouse Hill, SPSCC, and Westfield Mall.
•    On Saturday, July 17, transit service in downtown Olympia detours using Plum Street instead of Capitol Way and Fourth Avenue instead of Fifth between Capitol Way and the Fourth Avenue bridge from 7 am to 8 pm.  Intercity Transit Routes 12, 13, 68, 620 and the Dash shuttle will detour onto Plum instead of Capitol Way from 7am to 8pm.  West Olympia Route 44 inbound trips only will detour onto I-5 instead of traveling via Deschutes Parkway.
